Klavestad Gun Collection Photos - Stagecoach Museum Shakopee MN

These are 3 original photos that Klerx the 3rd. had sent to Dot & Ernie Lind (Winchester exhibition shooters). He and Ernie had become great friends and exchanged photos and letters quite often. There are notes and autographed signatures on both the front and back of these photos telling Ernie of his guns in the pictures. Comes with a letter from the Ernie Lind estate. The Stagecoach Museum and restaurant operated from 1951 to 1981. It was then sold to a local who actually ran it in the ground and today it is totally run down with little remains left. It is another by-gone bit of history that once was really a great place.

Also included is the 1964 Fawcett publication featuring the story of the Stagecoach Museum collection. I once owned the Annie Oakley Folbert rifle that Klerx had in this museum. It was pictured and sold in my 1999 Wild West auction catalog. He had written about some of the guns he owned on the back of the photos. Nice documentation if you own one of the guns in one of the pictures or pictured in the Fawcell book.
