1940 Set Of Indian Prints Signed By Artist Lone Wolf


This set of four frameable 10" x 12" prints signed Lone Wolf was issued in 1940 by M A Donohue & Co to publicize the publication of their book titled Indians of Yesterday, written by Marion E Gridley & illustrated by Lone Wolf.

Lone Wolf was a Blackfoot Indian from Montana. He became famous as an illustrator, painter & sculptor of western subjects.

Included in this set are:

People of the Wandering Flocks
Dwellers Along the Sea Coast
Dwellers Among the Leaves
Dwellers on the Plains

The prints have thumbtack holes at the corners & edges & all have the original owner's name handwritten on the backs. One print has a small hole 2" from the edge & some of the corner tips are creased. The folder also shows the original owner's handwritten name & shows light shelf wear/soiling. Frame these colorful prints for your home or office.
