WWI Lost Battalion Unit History W/Photos - 306th 307th 308th

This softcover book is titled "History and Rhymes of the Lost Battalion". The 5" x 7" book has 80 pages. Copyright is 1923 by the author, L C McCollum. Sketches are by Franklin Sly. There are two US Official Photos (one of the lost battalion shortly after the men were relieved and one of the battalion commander). Contents are a history of the lost batttalion and poems (some humorous) about the experience. The battalion consisted of the 306th machine gun battalion and the 307th and 308th infantry regiments. Also included is an undated program from the Disabled American Veterans of the World War. On the stage was "The Wildcat Rookie" and on the screen was "The Lost Battalion". The cover shows shelf wear, and the cover & first/last pages are partially detached from the staples. If you collect vintage unit histories from World War I this would make a nice addition to your collection.
