1935 Texas Lutheran Convention Souvenir Cotton Bale

This is a great item that was a souvenir from the Fellowship Banquet of the Third International Convention of the American Luther League Austin Texas August 27, 1935. The American Luther League is affiliated with the Lutheran church. The 2" x 2 1/2" x 1 1/2" item is designed to look like a cotton bale. It is stuffed with straw and covered with burlap and has six straps. There are small tufts of cotton on both sides. The top burlap piece has been lifted (to view the straw contents), but otherwise this piece remains in very good condition. If you collect unusual miniature souvenir items or Lutheran memorabilia this little cotton bale would make a great conversation piece for your collection.
