OUAM Custard Glass Bell 1911 Convention Beaver Falls PA

This is a really great custard glass bell that was a souvenir from the OUAM (Order of United American Mechanics) Fall City Council 385 (on the one side). On the other side is Beaver Falls May 1 1911 Annual Convention In S.C. It pictures a beaver sitting on a log. This is a great decal, and on the other side it pictures an American flag with a pair of calipers and a t-square. The OUAM is a fraternal organization that was founded in 1844. Its membership was limited to US-born white males, and its major purpose was the opposition to foreign labor. This bell is 3 1/2" in diameter and 6" high. It has a 1/2" wide gold flash band running around the outside at the bottom of the bell. It has the original steel clapper and inside the bell in very neat red lettering it says A.P.Spec. Co. Monaca, Pa. (obviously the maker of the bell). This is a beautiful item, and if you collect bells it would certainly be one to put away into your collection. We've sold several custard bells such as this, and this is as nice as they get. If you are a bell collector, this should go into an advanced collection.
